Our story
Where softness meets purpose
Rufni started with a simple question: why is it so hard to find soft toys you can actually trust? We are a small team in Barnes, London, and we do one thing — find well-made toys from makers who care about safety and materials, and bring them to your door.
Every toy we sell is tested to EN 71. Many are made from recycled bottles. All of them are here because they are genuinely lovely things to hold, to give and to keep.
Frequently asked questions
Are your toys safe for newborns?
Every toy we sell is tested to EN 71, the European and UK toy safety standard, and each product page states the age the maker recommends. Toys marked suitable from birth have embroidered features and no detachable parts.
Where do your toys come from?
Four established makers: Keel Toys, Aurora World, Warmies and Suki Gifts — all with decades of experience in soft toys.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Not yet. We deliver across the UK with Royal Mail, DPD and Evri, and standard delivery is free on orders over £30.
What is your returns policy?
Thirty days to return an unused item in its original packaging — longer than the fourteen days required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Are the Keeleco toys really recycled?
Yes. The plush outer and the fibre filling are made from recycled plastic bottles, and the bean weighting is recycled glass.
How do Warmies work?
They are filled with millet and dried French lavender. The 33cm toys warm in 60 seconds at 600-800W, or 45 seconds on a more powerful oven; the 23cm Juniors take 30 seconds, or 20 on a powerful oven. Always follow the label sewn into the toy, and an adult should do the heating.
